LEADERSHIP
Brian Berger is editor-in-chief of SpaceNews.com and the SpaceNews magazine. He joined SpaceNews.com in 1998, spending his first decade with the publication covering NASA.
His reporting on the 2003 Space Shuttle Columbia accident was recognized with an Online News Association award for breaking news. He was named senior staff writer in 2004, a position he held until being named SpaceNews deputy editor in 2008. Brian earned a journalism degree from Ohio University, where he was active in student government.

Michelle is the Chief of Staff at Multiverse Media Inc. and the Executive Director of Satellite Canada Innovation Network. Having held senior executive positions over the course of the past 20+ years in business, finance, and law, Michelle has acquired a unique combination of knowledge and experiences in a multijurisdictional setting. She has worked in Canada, USA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Europe, where she created, led, and advocated for policies and programs to further advance technology development for the commercial space sector and ecosystem.
As a former Executive Director of a United Nations COPUOS member organization, she has also worked on behalf of the United Nations to strengthen international collaboration and inspire the next generation of space leaders, while fostering a constructive ecosystem through international space policy and law. Michelle Chairs the Government of Canada’s Advisory Committee for the Remote Sensing Space Systems Act (RSSSA), sits on the External Advisory Council at Western University’s Institute for Earth and Space Exploration and is on the Board of C-Core, an innovation organization at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She also She holds a Bachelor of General Studies degree from Simon Fraser University in Canada, is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and UK and holds an Executive Master of Business Administration in Space Commerce from the International Space University in Strasbourg, France.

Paige McCullough is the Vice President of Business Development for SpaceNews. She is a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience in the space industry and six at SpaceNews.
In her role at SpaceNews, she is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key client relationships, and developing new business opportunities. Paige’s career in the space industry began at a commercial launch services provider where she honed her skills in corporate communications. She later transitioned to the media industry where she has developed and executed successful campaigns for a range of clients, from established aerospace companies to up-and-coming startups.
Paige’s leadership and strategic insights have also helped SpaceNews to expand into new areas, including sponsored content and social media advertising. While she has a deep understanding of the space industry as well as media and advertising trends, it’s her ability to forge long-standing relationships with industry partners that she finds most rewarding. Paige is a graduate of Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Mr. Boucher is a business leader with 30 years’ experience in media. He started his first business in 1991, tapping into the nascent world of the Internet before the emergence of the World Wide Web. During those early Internet years, Marc would create @Canadas.net offering a variety of services and which would garner the company the Best Online Service in 1996 at the Canadian Internet Awards.
He would then create the first Canadian Internet Directory and search engine called Maple Square which was subsequently spun out into its own company and licensed to AOL Canada and Canada’s largest Internet service provider at the time, Sympatico. In 2003 he would sell the company.
Through the 90’s and into the early 2000’s Mr. Boucher supported technical initiatives including the InterPlanetary Internet and other IEEE standards.
In 1999, his career trajectory changed when he co-founded SpaceRef, Your Space Reference, a media property focused on space news and which now forms an integral part of Multiverse Media.
SpaceRef, along with its website and newsletter, produced a high-quality and well regarded print and digital magazine called Space Quarterly between February 2011 and October 2013.
Mr. Boucher has also supported several not-for-profits over his career providing support as director and other positions with the NASA Ames based Mars Institute and the Canadian Space Commerce Association. He’s also served as an advisor to Western University’s Centre for Planetary Science and Exploration. Marc currently serves as a member of the Space Entrepreneurship and Investment Committee of the International Astronautical Federation.

Greg Thomas is the CTO of Multiverse. Prior to his role as Chief Technology Officer, Greg was CEO of SpaceNews for seven years where he successfully led the business to record profitability and audience growth. Greg is also a member of SpaceNews’ Board of Directors. Greg’s experience spans both print and digital businesses.
Before joining SpaceNews, he served as COO of Inside Communications, a sports publishing company based in Boulder, Colorado. During Greg’s tenure at Inside Communications, he was responsible for leading the company through a digital transformation and was instrumental in steering the company to profitability, growth, and the successful sale of the business to Falconhead Capital. Greg has served in numerous digital media and technology leadership roles throughout his career including Senior Digital Manger – Adventure Sports at Quokka Sports, Member of Research Staff at Interval Research Corporation and as a key member of the Apple Customer Support and Human Interface Group in Cupertino, CA. Greg holds a B.A from San Jose State University.

Andy is a transformative and award-winning entrepreneurial media executive who generates impressive operations performance and development wins. Andy has worked in media for over 25 years. Andy is the Chief Executive Officer at SpaceNews, the leading news and information provider in the space industry.
Andy has served in multiple leadership position including CEO at Pocket Outdoor Media and COO at Panache Cyclewear. Prior to Panache Andy was General Manager of the cycling category at Competitor Group and Publisher of VeloNews, where he guided the publication to record sales and circulation performance and was responsible for radically growing the interactive business and diversifying brand revenues.
Mr. Pemberton has a proven track record of generating EBITDA growth for Private Equity, launching startups, merger integration, performing acquisitions, and leading turnaround strategies. Known for implementing successful go-to-market sales plans utilizing strong analytical and financial management skills.
In 2003 Andy founded Town Green Media where he launched and published the Ozzie and Eddie award-winning Wilton Magazine and lifestyle title, Entertaining Magazine, which he later sold to Morris Media. Prior to that, Andy was Vice President and Publisher at Online Inc. where he was the Publisher of EContent magazine, and the Event Director of Intranets Conference & Expo.
Andy has held media-related positions including CEO, General Manager, Group Vice President, Exposition Director, Director of Sales and Marketing, Advertising Director, and Sales Manager. Andy began his career after college working in television sports production where he earned a television Emmy award for his production work with ESPN on the 1992 America’s Cup yacht race. Pemberton holds a B.A. in History from Hobart College and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

Felix Magowan is currently managing member of Pocket Ventures, LLC (a media acquisition group), and Chairman of SpaceNews, the world’s largest space and satellite trade media brand. Previously he conceived, funded, and managed the start-up of Pocket Outdoor Media as both CEO and Chairman. Rebranded as Outside in February 2021, its 40+ active lifestyle brands make it the world’s largest creator of outdoor and healthy lifestyle content, distributed across television, web, social, print, book and event channels.
Felix was Director of Business Development at Competitor Group (a $100MM diversified sports media and event company), co-founder & CEO of Inside Communications (VeloNews, Inside Triathlon, Ski Racing, VeloPress, VeloGear, VeloSwap et al), and a founding investor and board member at Pearl Izumi and Centurion Cycling. He was also an investor and board member at Skram Media (Climbing, Urban Climber, Mountain Gazette et al). Over his business career Magowan has been responsible for dozens of different start-ups, acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures. Felix hold a B.A in History and Politics from the University of California – Sant Cruz.

Sarah is a space journalist, international TV host and award winning author. She has an academic background in astrophysics and is a global thought leader in the growing commercial space sector.
On television Sarah hosts UFO Conspiracies with Craig Charles on Sky History and is one of the hosts of ‘Contact’ on Discovery Channel and Science Channel – which airs in the US and internationally. She is also a leading voice of space on various other television shows in the UK and US, regularly appearing on Sky, BBC, CNN, People Television, ITV News, Channel 4 News and Channel 5 News. As well as on various documentaries on Discovery Channel and Science Channel and UK shows including Coast, BBC Sunday Morning Live and Derren Brown.
Sarah is a passionate and well accomplished presenter able to make complex topics in science relatable to a general audience. She also has extensive live television experience having begun her television career as a weather presenter and science correspondent with the BBC.

Britt is the first space urban planner as well as founder and CEO of Celestial Citizen, a space development company that is building the first city in space. Celestial Citizen is developing humanity’s collective future beyond Earth by integrating mission operations, space technology, infrastructure planning, architecture and city design – while engaging the public at every step of the process. Britt believes that media will help bring together diverse audiences to engage more stakeholders in visioning out inclusive space futures.
Britt also hosts Celestial Citizen Podcast, now in its third season, where she looks to spark unique conversations about the human factors that will be essential to our long-term survival and evolution into a spacefaring civilization.
Britt is the director of Take Up Space, an award-winning short film that spotlights the firsthand accounts of eight, anonymous women and non-binary individuals from across the space industry and what their experiences have been with gender discrimination and sexual harassment. She is also the creator and executive producer of the space news media platform, Continuum, as well as a companion podcast.
